When I removed the factory license plate holder it left some really ugly screw holds that poked out a little bit. The bumpers on a Cruiser are plastic and the screws they used were self tapping so pulled the plastic out. I heated up each screw hole and used the rounded end of a screw driver handle to push them in a little. Then I took a small drill and opened the holes up just a little bit so that the plugs would go in without too much pressure. I painted the plugs with body touch up paint and let them dry good. I followed the instructions that came with the new bracket and had it installed in no time. I pressed the plugs into the bumper and reinstalled my license plate. It looks great now with no scab on the front bumper.
